The Setup:
The pandemic didn’t just change where people work. It changed where IT teams have to support them. Suddenly the help desk wasn’t down the hall anymore. It was anywhere. It was everywhere. Splashtop makes remote access and support software, and their moment had arrived. They needed a campaign worthy of it.

The Turn:
We introduced Derek. Every IT professional’s most reliable source of job security. The campaign connects with its audience not by explaining the product, but by understanding their problem at a deeply personal level. They’ve all had a Derek. Most of them have had several.

The Punchline:
Three cuts. One character. The campaign ran as a 30-second spot, a 15-second cutdown, and a custom trade show booth cut for SupportWorld Live in Las Vegas. In fact, Splashtop liked Derek so much we brought him to the show floor. In person. In character. Every IT professional in that building knew exactly who he was.
